Jaybird Vista Review

Jaybird is a company that I do not think twice in supporting and when an opportunity came to be a affiliate for them came up I did not think twice. By joining forces with them I was able to be part of a select few who had early access to their new special edition Planetary Green Vistas.

The Vistas are Jaybirds first wireless headphones that meet IPX7 and MIL-STD 810G standards. These standards are awarded to products who meet a specific standard of durability and are designed to withstand harsh environments. Thus, the Jaybird hashtag #Earthproof was born.

First impression of the Jaybird Vistas revealed a product that was impressively crafted and durable. The earbuds are are rugged and smooth and nestle perfectly into their charging case, held into position by a magnet. The charging case itself has a sturdy, rugged feel and snaps closed with a magnet that holds everything together.

The planetary green color is a beautiful blend of greens with the contour lines of a topographic map. I am usually one who goes for more plain colors such as black or white, but Jaybird killed it with this color. I admit that this has to be my new favorite color.

Beauty, color and durability aside; the sound on these babies is equally as impressive. They provide premium sound quality making for an unbeatable listening experience. Each earbud has a button function that allows you to pause, play or skip songs. These buttons also allow you to power on and off the ear buds as well as accept phone calls.

And that’s right, you can accept phone calls with these! I wasn’t sure when I first received them if I was going to be able to use them for phone calls, but yes you can and they work perfectly!

Now let’s talk battery life. In our world of chargeable products battery life is very important. For utilization of both Vista earbuds the battery life is 6 hours and up to 16 hours with the charging case. If the earbuds are used independently this time can be extended up to 32 hours! This is impressively competitive when compared with other wireless headphones on the market.

Fit is also something that is important for earbuds and Jaybird did not disappoint here either. All headphones come with a variety of ear gels that can be swapped out to help you find your most comfortable and secure fit. I personally use the mid-sized ear gels and they fit perfectly!

Overall, these headphones have quickly become a favorite of mine and are the first ones I grab for runs, or even just for every day use. Since podcasts and audio books are such a huge staple in my life, I keep them in my bag so I always have them with me. I hope this review was helpful and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Happy running everyone!
