Fitness has always been something of a passion for me. I grew up riding horses and staying fit is an important aspect of the sport to keep you performing at your best. But, it was’t until a few years back that running became a passion of mine. After running a few various distance races it did not take me long before cross training dragged me into the triathlon world as well. Now to date I have completed a number of half marathons, 20ks, 10ks, a marathon as well as a half ironman. It has been quite the running journey. I am proud of everything I have accomplished so far and I look forward to accomplishing more.
I have not always considered myself a runner. I briefly ran track in high school for one season; but other then that I grew up riding horses. I rode up until 2015 when unforeseen circumstances turned my life upside down. It was at this time of feeling lost when I discovered running; and it became something that was important to me.
Finishing the Ironman Timberman 70.3 is one of my favorite accomplishments. The whole journey was an absolutely amazing and humbling experience. I can’t wait to train for another half ironman and I hope to one day do a full ironman!
In addition to running I also enjoy playing fetch with my golden retriever Finely and cooking with my boyfriend.
