I have not been doing the best at keeping up with blog posts; or my training for that matter. This week has been packed full of class and working because I picked up an extra shift. And let me tell you, when you work as a nurse it is SOOOOO hard to workout on the days that you work. Working out before work requires waking up MUCH earlier and then after working for 12 hours you often feel too emotionally and physically drained to workout. Another week of running in the books! I am still just plugging along fitting in my short mileage where and when I can. As a nurse I work every other weekend; because of this I have to make adjustments to my training schedule. At times I will try to run after a shift, but there are times when I just feel too tired. Last weekend was my weekend to work. Shifts are 12 hours long and I usually get home around 7:30.
