The Comeback is Always Stronger than the Setback

When you see a girl tighten her ponytail you know something is about to go down.

Week Two Ironman 70.3 Training

I have not been doing the best at keeping up with blog posts; or my training for that matter. This week has been packed full of class and working because I picked up an extra shift. And let me tell you, when you work as a nurse it is SOOOOO hard to workout on the days that you work. Working out before work requires waking up MUCH earlier and then after working for 12 hours you often feel too emotionally and physically drained to workout.  Continue reading “Week Two Ironman 70.3 Training” →

Week One Ironman 70.3 Training

This is the week that marks the start of training for Lake Placid Ironman 70.3. Before the kick off of this week I was really hoping that I would feel stronger in my starting baseline. However, not everything goes to plan and all you can do it improvise and adapt. Despite not being at the baseline that I wanted to be at, I still feel confident that I will be able to achieve my goals. Here is a breakdown of the week: Continue reading “Week One Ironman 70.3 Training” →

New blog post up!!🏃🏼‍♀️A weekly recap that is a little overdue. But to be honest there hasn’t been anything too exciting in my life recently to write about 🤣 ➵ link in bio
Keep showing up 💜 . . . Consistency. It’s challenging, life happens, but it is so important. Know that it won’t always feel easy and you won’t always be able to finish all your workouts, but never let that stop you from showing up. So keep going, to the next workout, to the next run, striving to you next goals. Just keep going🙌🏻🏃🏼‍♀️
Motivation was difficult to find this morning. The bed was warm and I knew I would be leaving that coziness to go out into the cold. When my alarm went off I rolled over to @iamadamhenry and said “I don’t want to get up.” But his reply was “No, you get up and go run. Run hard, run fast.” So I did. For a little extra reason to run today I also took Finley with me.🐕When I’m not feeling that motivated, bringing Finley along for an easy run is a great way to help me find that reason to run. Of course these runs are full of sniff breaks and chasing squirrels, but I get to see the joy on his face and it’s so rewarding. Happy Sunday Runday!!🏃🏼‍♀️💜
Happy Valentines Day❤️to my travel companion, adventurous counterpart and best friend @iamadamhenry! So happy that you are the one I get to celebrate this holiday with!
It was a two workout kind of day! I ran a nice easy shakeout run this morning and then tonight I swam at my new gym!🏊🏻‍♀️And my swim felt really good considering the last time I swam was 5 months ago! I am feeling pretty strong this year, so I am excited to see what my potential will be for this year. I haven’t signed up for any races just yet, but I do have a couple on my radar📡Also stay tuned for a new blog post coming soon!💜
Looking forward to getting an easy shakeout run tomorrow! My legs have really struggling💀the last few days, but I think they are finally ready for a run. I am also hoping that this cold, icy rain 🥶☔️ will clear up so I can run outside. Who else is ready for spring?💜

Need gift ideas for that adventurous person in your life?

Jaybird Tarah Wireless Headphone Review

After running for many years both with music, without music, with audio books and podcasts; I have come to the conclusion that I prefer my leisure runs to include some kind of listening activity. In fact, there is rarely a time when I am not listening to something. I listen to something while I do… Continue reading →
